E.J. told Philip that he no longer wanted the Alternative Fuels Project. Kate told Victor that she plans to put Chloe through “deep psychological pain,” and he agreed to help. Maggie and Chloe fought about Lucas and Chloe’s future but agreed not to tell Lucas about the affair. Nicole told Brady about Philip’s threat and how, because of it, she promised E.J. she would no longer see him. Philip told Victor about their win. E.J. told Stefano that Philip “took the bait.” Brady warned Nicole to leave E.J. Sami told Sister Teresa that she will visit Grace soon.

E.J. told Sami she needs to stop fighting with Nicole for the sake of their children. Lucas told Chloe he doesn’t blame her for his drinking, and he wants to get back together, which she happily agreed to. A drunken Daniel told Chelsea Kate is in full remission. E.J. and Sami continued to spar about Nicole, Stefano and the safety of their child while at Sami’s townhome after E.J. stopped by to drop off a toy. Chloe told Nicole the affair is over, but Nicole believes it isn’t. Chloe also told Nicole about Sami’s miscarriage and that she shouldn’t let Sami get to her. Sami told E.J. a part of her will always love him.

Rafe showed up at Sami’s townhome while E.J. was still there. Stefano overheard Nicole complaining about Sami and tried to convince her that Sami is not a threat. E.J. and Rafe battled over Sami’s safety and who is best for her. Chelsea and Max began a romantic evening where they shared a steamy kiss and discussed their future together. Chelsea explained that she wasn’t sure about them because she doesn’t want to ruin their friendship. Rafe met Sami’s twins and gave her the picture of her and Grace. Nicole went to see Sister Teresa without knowing that Stefano had a man following her. Bo told Hope about his vision of her in bed with another man. E.J. witnessed Rafe and Sami kissing before he left for another mission.

Chelsea and Max woke up together in Chelsea’s bed. E.J. told Roman that Rafe crossed the line with Sami, but Sami overheard the conversation and defended Rafe. Hope told Bo that his visions don’t make sense, and he shouldn’t be worrying about them. Chelsea told Max she finally felt sure about their relationship, and the couple made love for the first time. Sami told E.J. her relationship with Rafe is none of his business. Daniel confided in Brady about his relationship, but he didn’t say who the relationship is with. Brady admitted that he too is in love with a woman he can’t have. Bo caught Max coming down the stairs in the morning and immediately kicked him out, which prompted Chelsea to tell Bo she is moving out.

Melanie demanded her money from E.J., but he refused. Melanie then burst in to Philip’s office to tell him what happened, but Philip kicked her out. Sami told Nicole she wants E.J. to butt out of her life. Brady tried to convince Chloe to tell him what is going on with her. Stefano told E.J. about Sami and Nicole’s lunch, but he didn’t care. Kate and Chloe shared an uncomfortable lunch that included Kate having Daniel comment on Chloe’s wedding dress and Kate commenting on her and Daniel’s past sex life. Nicole confronted E.J. about his interest in Sami’s life, and Sami learned that another woman has held Grace.
