Star Appearances

Patrika Darbo (ex-Nancy Wesley) will voice a character in the upcoming animated film, “Rango.” The film is set to release in 2011 and will also star Johnny Depp.

Several Days actors will be attending the Cocktail Party with the Stars on May 30, 2009 in Studio City, CA. The event benefits the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society.

Krista Allen (ex-Billie Reed) will play Julie Carson Rist in NBC’s upcoming show “The Philanthropist.”

Darin Brooks (Max Brady), Eric Martsolf (Brady Black), Bryan Dattilo (Lucas Roberts), James Scott (E.J. Wells) and Arianne Zucker (Nicole Walker) are scheduled to appear at a Retinoblastoma International benefit April 18 in Hartford, CT. There will be a meet greet, pictures and Q and A session.

Penghils Leaving

Thaao Penghlis (Tony DiMera) will be departing. Penghlis’s character will be murdered as part of an upcoming story line, and he says he is “relieved” to be leaving. Here is what Penghlis told Michael Fairman in an interview for Soap Central: "DAYS is not DAYS anymore. It's an extension of what it was; it's not the body or the heart of what it was. We were all part of that, especially those that just left and I think we were the best of daytime. I think, hands down, the James Reillys of the world have destroyed daytime. They took the thing that people watched, which was great reality and passions, and made it into somewhat of a joke and cartoons. However, I must say, the fact that DAYS has remained on so long is a credit to the show. It has such a wonderful history and I will miss it." (www.soapcentral.com)
